Last week I started working on a cardigan with some lovely fingering yarn. Fingering yarn is very thin, I had never worked with it before. I winded the usual yarn skein and started taking yarn from the center, as I normally do with all my other yarns. But oh surprise! With yarn this thin it is not a good idea to grab the center strand, it is much easier to consume the skein from the outside in. See my mistake, I ended up having to cut it in pieces and rewind it:
When you are working with thin yarn, use it from the outside of the skein to the inside.
